About
Lindsey Rewuski is a Canadian light installation artist and multimedia artist based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan (Treaty 6 Territory). Her work explores immersive light art, multi-sensory environments, and analog projection techniques inspired by 1960s psychedelic light shows. She creates immersive audio-visual installations and performances that combine light, photography, painting, sound, sculpture, and video.
Working with an analog, hands-on approach, Rewuski uses liquids, glass, organic materials, textiles, and found objects to generate projected visuals for galleries, public art installations, and festivals. Her practice often involves collaboration with musicians and sound artists, resulting in responsive, immersive environments where light and sound are deeply interconnected.
In addition to large-scale installation work and live performance, she produces “light paintings” through photographic documentation of her projections, using hand-painted 35mm slides, layered imagery, and experimental projection methods.
Rewuski’s work is also informed by research into Multi-Sensory Environments (MSE), with a focus on accessibility and sensory experience. As a neurodivergent artist with lived experience of sensory processing sensitivities, she creates sensory-driven installations that can engage audiences with ADHD, autism, and dementia. Her practice explores the intersection of art, mental health, and perception, contributing to a growing field of disability-informed and accessible art in Canada.
Her work has been presented in galleries, festivals, and public art contexts across Canada since 2015, including immersive and site-specific installations suited to events such as Nuit Blanche and other light and media art festivals. She is supported by the Canada Council for the Arts and SK Arts.
